User research :
summary
To better understand the users I'm creating for and their needs, I conducted interviews and produced empathy maps. Users often forget to take their medications as prescribed, and need reminders to do so. This is particularly true for users who have complex medication regimens, multiple medications, or cognitive impairments.
However, the study also revealed that some patients have trouble following to their prescription regimens because of side effects, which can be challenging to control. Others can be reluctant to take medication because of stigma or unfavorable attitudes of medicine.
1
Many users may not be familiar with using technology to manage their health, and may need additional support in learning how to use the app.
User Pain Points
2
The app may require the user to manually enter information about their medications, which can be time-consuming and prone to error.
3
The app must have a reliable alarm system to remind users to take their medications.

Paper Wireframes

I started to put the idea into practice. It was beneficial to complete several of them so that I could rapidly begin evaluating the advantages, disadvantages, and "what-ifs" of each sketch. Since this was effectively the first time I could see all my many interpretations of what I first imagined the app should look like, it was intriguing to see the contrasts between each notion.
Digital wireframes
[As the initial design phase continued, I made sure to base screen designs on feedback and findings from the user research.]

I discovered that even a subtle design adjustment may significantly affect the user experience. The most crucial lesson I learned was to always keep the user's actual demands in mind when developing design concepts and solutions.
Impact
The app was well-received by users and achieved positive results in terms of increased medication adherence and positive feedback.
